M3 hexagonal wrench*1, new Y-axis motor*1
NOTE: Please complete the following operations under power failure and keep the removed screws properly to avoid loss.
1. Open the rear door cover of the unit
2. Disconnect the power and signal wires from the Y-axis motor.
3.Unscrew the “tensioning screw” of the Y-axis motor as shown in the figure:
4. Then unscrew the fixing screws of the Y-axis motor base.
5. This allows you to remove the motor and motor base.
6. Put a hex wrench through the outside of the rubber ring and pry the rubber ring out and remove it before the motor signal wire can pass through the hole in the machine.
7. Unscrew the 4 screws securing the motor and separate the motor from the base.
1. Secure the new motor to the motor base, note: the tensioning screw holes should face up.
2.Pass the motor signal and power cables through the rubber ring, then through the holes of the machine, and finally install the rubber ring to the machine.
3. Secure the motor to the machine without tightening the set screws and install the belt to this wheel of the motor.
4. Tighten the “Tensioning Screw” to adjust the tightness of the Y-axis motor belt.
Note:
There is no fixed standard for belt tightness, you can press the X-axis motor belt to feel the appropriate degree of tightness as a reference for Y-axis belt adjustment.
The motor belt should not be too tight, or it may make strange noise.
5. Finish adjusting and then tighten the base screws.
6. Connect the motor signal line and power line, and standardize the alignment, you can complete the replacement, as shown below.
