M2, M2.5, M3 hexagonal wrenches; M7 open-end spanners; tie wraps; brand new X-axis motor

  Note: Please complete the following operations in the power-off state, and keep the removed screws properly to avoid losing them 

  

Disassembly of X-axis motor

1. Slightly loosen the screw on the belt buckle on the right side of the laser head, but there is no need to remove the screw.     

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   2.Then remove the belt.       

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

 

3.Unscrew the screws marked in the figure below, and cut the marked ties. 

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              4.Then remove the dust cover of the drag chain and disconnect the X-axis motor cable.                             

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           5.Unscrew the two X-axis motor base fixing screws.   

                                                                                                                                                                                                      

6. Remove the X-axis motor by unscrewing the 4 screws that hold the motor in place.                                                                                                                                                                                                             

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

Installing the X-axis motor

1. Fix the new motor on the motor base, then fix the motor base on the X-axis.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                2.Connect the signal cable of the X-axis motor, tidy up and standardise the alignment, and finally install the drag chain dust cover. As shown below;                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              3. Install the belt correctly onto the motor gear, then thread the belt into the belt buckle.

  4. Tighten the screws of the belt buckle while pulling the belt tight (as tight as possible) .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Adjusting the tension of the X-axis belt

1.Loosen the 2 screws and nuts labelled in the diagram below, but do not need to remove them.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

   2. Use a hexagonal spanner to turn the 2 screws shown in the picture to adjust the tightness of the X-axis belt (clockwise rotation makes the belt tighter, counterclockwise rotation makes the belt looser).

Note: There is no fixed standard for belt tightness, you can press the Y-axis belt to feel the proper tightness as a reference for X-axis belt adjustment.

 

3.After the X-axis belt is adjusted to the proper tension, you need to tighten the 2 screws and nuts.
